Coccinellidae - Ladybug
Ladybugs, which do a number on pesky aphids and whiteflies, among others, need flower nectar to lay their eggs. They are said to especially favor cup-shaped flowers like lilies. Ladybugs need protection for winter hibernation (think store-bought ladybug boxes filled with peat or compost); one immigrant population of these harmless-to-humans beetles makes news in colder zones each autumn because it clambers upside houses and garages searching for cracks to get in out of the cold.
